This week at MMS 8/1
Dear Parents,

In this ever changing era of Covid, I wanted to touch base about registration and the start of the school year. At this time, we have crossed into the red zone. We will have registration and we will have school. However, some adjustments will be made. We do ask that you come in the fine arts door on the west side of the building for registration. You will exit the front of the building. Registration will be in the commons. Chrome book distribution and insurance will be in the library. Follow the signs. Please practice distancing while you are in line and in the building.

I know many of you prefer to know what to expect during registration. You will have the opportunity to sign up for the Mustang Run, purchase a yearbook, buy an art kit, purchase Madison swag and Chromebook insurance.

At this time, breakfast and lunches are still free to everyone. If you would like to put money on an account for other snack items, you can do that online.

You should have signed up for a specific time through sign up genius. This allows us to control the flow so you do not experience a crowd. Please make sure to show up at your time. We will go as quickly as possible. You will be asked to fill out registration documents before getting in line. There are also several documents that we sign annually, such as the science fair lab agreement, Title 1 compact, and field trip forms.

Please be patient and kind to our awesome staff members who are dedicated to making sure your child is in the right classes, fed, loved and cared for. If you have questions concerning schedule, lockers etc., just ask. That is why we are here.

Students may find their locker, place stuff in the locker and walk to their classes to get acclimated.

All of the information regarding registration is located on our website and our Facebook page, as well as the previous emails.

Because we are in Red, there are certain limitations to our school day. We will not be able to have indoor assemblies with the whole school. Our students will have seating charts and some class activities may be limited. Masks are recommended for unvaccinated people and they are available in the office if you need one.

I am excited to see everyone next week. Have a great weekend,
Joey Eidson
